Lochneso ežero pabaisa, trumpiau vadinama Nese yra matyt žymiausia ežerinė monstrė iš visų. Būtent dėl šios istorijos, prasidėjo visuotinė pabaisų karštligė. Kiek šalių gyrėsi atradusios "savo Nesę"?
Tariamos ar tikrai esamos pabaisos buvimo vieta - Lochneso ežeras Škotijoje. Jam ši monstriukė pritraukė daug lankytojų, tad ir daug pelno. Filmai apie Nesę, serialai, detektyvai.... Keista, kad žmonės vis dar tiki (nors ir aš pati, kažkaip, nelabai norėčiau netikėti....). Bet skamba labai.... tikroviškai!
Daugelis mokslininkų ir kitų ekspertų mano, kad esami įrodymai, pagrindžiantys būtybės egzistavimą, yra neįtikinantys, ir laiko pranešimus apie tai, kad Lochneso pabaisa buvo pastebėta, gandais arba nesusipratimais. Biologų nuomone, ežero ekosistema negalėtų išlaikyti net vieno tokio dydžio gyvūno, jau vien dėl maisto trūkumo. Kadangi gandai apie ją sklando jau kelis šimtmečius, reiktų manyti, kad gyvūnas arba labai senas, arba jų yra keli ir ten dauginasi. 2003 metais BBC bandė tirti ežerą, tačiau neaptiko jokių didelio gyvūno pėdsakų.
Bet visdėlto, pabaisos tikrumu įsitikinę asmenys yra iškėlę keliolika versijų dėl pabaisos buvimo. Viena populiariausių versijų apie Nesės prigimtį yra tai, kad šis gyvis yra iki šių dienų išlikęs pleziozauras - ilgą kaklą turėjęs vandens roplys, bet - išnykęs! Šios idėjos šalininkai remiasi tuo, kad žuvis latimerija, kuri, kaip manyta, išnyko tuo pačiu metu, 1938 m. buvo atrasta prie Madagaskaro krantų. Kodėl su pleziozaurais negalėtų būti taip pat?
Kita vertus, yra rimtų argumentų, kad pleziozaurai negali gyventi Loch Neso ežere: ežeras per šaltas šaltakraujui gyvūnui, pleziozauras turi nuolat iškilti į vandens paviršių įkvėpti oro, tad būtų lengvai pastebėtas, be to, ežeras susiformavo maždaug prieš dešimt tūkstančių metų, kai pleziozaurai jau buvo išnykę!
Įdomus faktas apie šiuos gyvūnus yra, kad Lamanšo pakrantėje atrastas į Nesę panašus, 3.6 m ilgio pleziozauras.
Bet nepaisant visų argumentų bei tyrinėjimų, legenda apie šią pabaisą pasaulyje išlieka populiari.
Kuprotoji Angliškoji Nesė
Štai ir "savo Nesių" pavyzdys. Jau seniai Škotija priklauso Anglijai. Kadangi Loch Neso pabaisa tapo geru indėliu į Škotijos turzimą, atėjo laikas savo ežerinę monstrę susirasti ir Britanijai.
Per pastaruosius ketverius metus sulaukta jau septynių liudijimų apie tai, kad Vindermero ežere gyvena milžiniška kuprota pabaisa. Tačiau šiais metais kalbos apie gyvį ėmė sklisti ypač sparčiai, pabaisa jau gavo vardą – Kuprotoji Nesė.

Prieš metus vietos televizijos operatorius minėtame ežere pastebėjo maždaug 20 metrų ilgio objektą. Tačiau skeptikai teigia, kad tai greičiausiai buvo valties šešėlis. Neseniai vietos viešbučio savininkas Thomas Noblettas papasakojo, jog maudydamasis pats asmeniškai susidūrė su pabaisa „Iš pradžių pajutau, kad prie mano kojos prisilietė tarsi milžiniška žuvis. O vėliau buvau išsviestas iš vandens per kokį metrą. Nežinau, kas tai buvo“.
Vindermero ežeras yra 17 kilometrų ilgio ir 67 metrų gylio. Šiuo metu tikintieji bei turintieji vilčių tiria ežerą ir ieško Kuprotosios Nesės. Tačiau bent jau iki šiol, sekmė neaplankė. Vis dėlto, paieškos vadas teigia, kad pabaisa Vindermere pastebėta daugiau kartų nei Loch Nese, tad yra daugiau vilčių bei galimybių ją aptikti.
Vindmero ežeras jau spėjo tapti itin populiarus, į vietovę plūsta turistai.

Mūsų mieste sklando tokia legenda, jog širvenos ežere esą seniau, gyveno didelis šamas, kuris savo ūsais įtraukė kelis žmones (vienas buvo mažas berniukas, o kiti keli suaugusieji). Netikėjau tuo, bet kai mama papasakojo, jog seniau, vykdant tyrimus, buvo rastas didelis povandeninis urvas ir milžiniški griaučiai jame... Nebežinau kuo tikėti.
